Children's Complex Care
Bespoke, family-centred care for children and young people with complex health needs — at home, at school and in the community.
Care built around your child — and your family
Caring for a child with complex health needs touches every part of family life. Our paediatric complex care teams are there to make life safer, easier and fuller — supporting your child at home, overnight, at school and out in the community, while giving parents the confidence to be parents first.
How we support children and young people
- Nurse-led packages for tracheostomy, ventilation, enteral feeding, complex epilepsy and other clinical needs
- Waking nights and sleep-in support so families can rest
- Support to attend school, clubs and family activities
- Smooth, planned hospital-to-home transitions and discharge support
- Transition planning as young people move towards adult services
Working alongside your child's team
We work hand-in-hand with paediatric MDTs, community nursing teams, schools, therapists and commissioners — sharing information appropriately and keeping everyone aligned around your child’s care plan and goals.
Every member of our children’s teams is enhanced-DBS checked, safeguarding trained and competency-assessed against your child’s specific needs before care begins.
